Japan Trip Day 3: Hakone Day Trip > Mount Fuji

The third day in Japan is the only one that I love the most!
It was the day we went out of Tokyo for sightseeing purpose.
Mount Fuji viewing place is the place that is a must go place to see the significant mountain
and of course I will guide you on how to reach there from Tokyo.

The place we were heading to will be Hakone
It took 2 hours journey from Tokyo city
so if you wish to have sufficient time to enjoy your day at Hakone
make sure you book the earliest time of bus to reach there as
Time is limited. Japan sunset time is much earlier than Malaysia
and the more earlier you go, the more thing you can explore.

We had booked the bus to Hakone since yesterday at Tourist Information Counter
You can book via their metro bus website directly
but I would suggest you go to the tourist centre and ask
as they will guide you the way to reach the bus station too
You know Tokyo station is HUGE !
Get a guidance from there is much more better than you lost yourselves and miss the bus.

Initially I had booked the bus time which departed at 830am
but we had reached 1 hour earlier as we afraid of getting lost in the station
so we choose to come out earlier to find the bus station
and Japanese is very kind,
they allowed everyone of us to take earlier bus if the bus has extra empty seat
so the bus we took end up was 730am departed from Shibuya Station

Notes :
Step 1 : Bought the bus ticket from Tourist Information counter
Step 2 : Choose the station departed : Shinjuku, Shibuya or Tokyo Station
Step 3 : Choose the time departed
Step 4 : Pay on the actual day when you reach the station

The bus fare cost 1800 yen per pax for single way only
You can choose to buy return ticket straight away if you confirm what time you going to leave from Hakone.

The bus journey took 2 hours to reach Hakone Bus Station
The bus did not stop along the whole journey
but don't worry, the bus did provide toilet facility.
Before reaching Hakone, we saw the peak of the Fuji Mountain along the road.

We reached Hakone Station after 2 hours
and the first thing we did was queing to buy the return ticket
as the japanese here good in english communication
so we seek for her suggestion and bought the return ticket from her suggested time
but too bad that the only last bus left was 4pm which was quite earlier for us
others later than that was fully booked already.

So, we just booked 4pm return tokyo bus ticket at 1750yen which cost much cheaper.
and of course we queue and bought the pass to travel around Hakone for Mt Fuji view
It cost 2600yen for 2 days pass on Ropeway ( Cable car) + Ferry Ride + Bus
The bus can took unlimited time as you want for the 2 days
while ropeway and ferry ride only took once on it.

The bus for Hakone trip have 3 types of buses
Red Line , the frequent one come every 15 minutes
Green Line , come every 30 minutes
Blue line, one day only available for 4 time slots only

and of course the red line stop at nearby stations while blue line is the farest and many stops on the tourist spots.

We took the red line bus to reach the ferry ride jetty and use the ticket on ferry ride at first.

It was freaking cold out there and luckily the ferry provided indoor for us to get warm

You will see the Mt Fuji from the ferry ride and it was situated super near to you.

The peak of the mountain was covered with snow and it is kinda hard for us to took a picture that can see the peak of Mt Fuji obviously.

The ferry ride took around 15 minutes only
and after the ferry ride
we explored the shops around since we were starving like hell since 10am morning.

I can't resist on taking picture with the snow
Hakone was falling snow since yesterday and thank god today was a great day which can see Mt Fuji clearly.
Oh ya remember to check the weather forecast to make sure you can see the Fuji Mountain clearly

We stopped by at the Hakone Restaurant 河口湖莊
where situated opposite to the ferry ride jetty

The price of the food is quite expensive
but we have predicted as that as it was a tourist place

Our ordered food

Ramen 800yen

Hot Pot Noodle 1500 yen

The noodles are quite famous at there
but it taste like super normal to me and I prefer Malaysia noodles more than here
But the Hotpot did warm my stomach and make me feel warm indeed.

Since the ropeway cable car is not far from the ferry ride jetty,
you just need to cross the road and walk further abit to reach the cable car station

Earlier of March is not a peak season time in Japan
so we not need to have a long queue at all to ride on the cable car.

The incredible view of Hakone taking from the cable car

The top view of Mt Fuji after we stepped out from the cable car

It was much cooler at top hill here as we were on the upper hill !
Everywhere deposited the snow along the road side , even the staircase also.

The Mt Fuji was behind me but the white color of the peak mountain is not obvious at all.

Snowball time !

Back to the cable car and go down to the normal street
Walked into a special cookie shop
which selling cookies with Mt Fuji shape
so cute !

After visiting the cookie shop and a bakery shop,
we took the red line bus to the Hakone Natural Living Shop
The view of Mt Fuji at here is super nice !
Clear view and the shop is selling variety of souvenirs and food which attracted my mom.

Clear view of Mt Fuji with lake view.

In love with here !

The time passed super fast and we dont have much time to explore the place one by one
so I told my mom that we should tried the green line at least once
so we took the green line bus and enjoy the view along the long journey road
We stopped at Wind Cave as wind cave is quite famous at Hakone
But the entrance fee to see the wind cave cost around 300 yen, taking around 20 mins

While walking to the wind cave counter
the road was full of snow and it was quite slippery.
But trust me ,
you will get excited just like I did if you love snow too

We didnt make it to the wind cave at last as our time is almost near to the time we need to sit the bus back to tokyo. so to avoid we miss the bus, we just visit around outside the wind cave
but you shall visit it if you have sufficient of time in Hakone.

So end up we still unable to catch the bus that we bought one
but I was thank god that I show my tickets to the green line bus driver
he told me that I was not able to make it to get on the bus
but he was so kind that he helped me contact the bus station and help me switched to another bus which departed at 15 minutes after
so when we reached Hakone station, we just followed what he said to go to No.3 bus station to get on the bus
Omg, Japanese is so kind ! I love their attitude and behaviour !!

Our bus headed back to Shinjuku station
and we had our dinner at Shinjuku

The restaurant is supeeeeer small and squeeze

But still
My mom love her Dan Dan Spicy Ramen

I had my original ramen since the meat is going to take out and gave to my mom.

Our dinner cost around 1800 yen for 2 persons
and on the way heading back to our homestay,
we walked around our homestay area and took some picture in Tokyo which you only can found and saw in Japan one.

You know ? I know, is 24 hours man !

Their sushi is super delicious !
Any restaurant also taste super nice.

Gaming centre for the boys.

Supermarket at night

Pick a girl ! It is legal in Tokyo.

Stay tuned for my next Day 4 post.

Japan Trip Day 2: Asakusa Sensoji Temple > Tokyo Skytree

Second day in Japan

Getting started with the schedule that I planned initially
Many of you might wonder ,
seriously ??
two places in one day only ??
YES , to me YES,
because this was my first time travel in Japan
and I was totally zero knowledge on their metro train line.

Reminder: remember to spare some time to understand how the metro line run
or else you will stay inside the station and figuring out how for ages.

The first station we go will be ASAKUSA TEMPLE
the one of the famous tourist temple spot in Tokyo

Here's the way to reach Asakusa :

  • Take Toei Shinjuku to BakuroYokoyama, walk to Higashi Nihonbashi station (3 min) and take the Toei Asakusa line to Asakusa. (19 minutes) cost  260 yen

  •  Take Chuo Line to Kanda and transfer to the Ginza Line ( 26 minutes ) cost 320 yen.

Note that : Ginza Line is closer to Sensoji than the Asakusa Station of the Toei Asakusa Line

I took the first option to reach Asakusa as it take much lesser time to reach.
Here is the first travel picture I took in Japan once I stepped out from the station

The Sensoji Temple is quite near to the station
Along the road to the Sensoji Temple, just follow the crowd as they were going to the same destination like you.

The door with this big lattern is a tourist spot too
many people will stop by and take picture with their significant lattern.

Before reaching the Sensoji Temple,
you will pass through a street with full of food and souvenirs for us to buy.

Oh yes , remember to check the weather forecast everyday in Japan
as their forecast is quite accurate
we knew that that day will be a raining day so we brought umbrella along with us
Umbrella cost 750yen which is quite expensive for us and we bought 2 umbrellas.

You will see this library when you going to reach the Sensoji Temple
and it was not open for public
so let's move on heading to the temple.

Bought this fried custard to have a try
I don't think it taste nice at all
but everyone is queuing for it, I don't know why....

Before you enter the temple
remember to wash your hand at here,
There will be a guidance direction for you on the steps of washing your hands.

Wash your left hand first and then right hand and at last rinse with your mouth
everyone is doing the same thing
so you just follow them as well. LOL

Finally, we reached the Sensoji Temple !

you will find that this box always appeared in every Japan's temple
They used to make a wish with a coin and after finish wishing
they will throw the coin into the box

Their Japan God

It started to rain after we finish our visit to Sensoji Temple
the rain was quite heavy and I don't know why I was so stupid that I choose to walk to the Tokyo Skytree.
Even though if we take the metro train, it was just next station after Asakusa station
so we thought it was quite near especially I read that they walked to the tokyo skytree too from a trip blogger
so end up, I thougth it was near.
But pleaseeee, take the metro train, it was not near at all and that day was raining heavily
we walked around 8 minutes to reach the tokyo skytree in such freezing and wet weather.
so torturing you know.

The Tokyo Skytree

There were many food to choose with inside the Tokyo Skytree
I did not plan to buy ticket to view the city from the Tokyo Skytree initially
and somemore that day was raining,
it was not worth to see the view without clear view

so end up we just shop around inside the mall
and there are variety of food for you to choose with.

I ordered Ipuddo Ramen from the food court which cost around 980yen
I still prefer Malaysia Ramen, it taste much nicer than Japan one.
Japan Ramen taste much lighter flavouring than Malaysia one
and you know Malaysian has heavier taste bud than others.

Dont forget to buy Tokyo Banana inside the mall,
there is a tokyo banana shop which selling the sponge cake in variety flavour

remember to shop their supermarket,
there were many things for you to explore inside the supermarket
as their strawberry taste super sweet ! Must try
and don't forget to try their greentea ice cream
You will see a lot of Japanese is having ice cream
and you will know how nice it taste like !

We had our dinner while on the way back to our homestay

YES
Ramen again
My mom ordered Yassai Ramen
which is full of vegetables one

I ordered the normal one but I passed the meat to my mom

This 2 bowls of ramen cost us around 1700 yen
As the restaurant is not ordered by vending machine
so their food will be much more expensive compare to self service those.

We passed by a snack shops that sell variety of snacks while we
were on the way back home so we stopped by and started to shop for snack even though
it just the second day we were in Tokyo LOL

Stay tuned for my next post.

Japan Trip Day 1: Haneda Airport > Okubo Homestay

Hi to my readers,
I have been disappeared for a certain period as I was busy with my Anmyna sales

But somehow, I still managed to post my Japan trip articles as my memory still fresh now
I better post it now or else I might forget the information to share with you guys when you going to Japan.

This time I went to Japan with my mother and this was the first time I went trip with her sololy
Thats why it was kinda big challenge for me as I used to be a hand free princess while I was travelling
and this time all the lugggages I have to carry myself and no longer depends to others else.

I focus my Japan trip more on Tokyo this time as the period to travel is short so I think better play in Tokyo is much enough.
My OOTD wear for the first day when boarding to the plane.

It was a 7 hour flight from Kuala Lumpur to Haneda Airport (Japan)
It used up my whole day to sit on the plane by reaching there,

Here are the reminder for you,
If you want to travel to Japan, make sure you DON'T INCLUDE the go and return days
as these 2 days consume your whole day and you can't do anything with it.

The flight I bought was one year ago during the cheap fares period
so my flight ticket cost RM908 including check in luggages.
Many people told me that my flight ticket is soooooo cheap
But is AIRASIA
For 7 hours flight, you can choose to pay higher a bit to sit on a more comfortable plane, trust me, you will be more comfortable and more enjoyable.

Once I reached Haneda Airport, the temperature that day was 8 celcius degree and it was raining !
The weather was freezing cold and you must prepare all winter wear on your hand carry bag else you gonna freezed !
After taking our baggages, we went to look for KEIO LINE, a train station line which heading to the Shinagawa Station and transfer train to Shinjuku city centre.
When you reached Keio Line Station in the airport, there will be a staff standing there and guide you on how to buy a Pasmo Card.
Pasmo Card is a must in Japan, it is so convenient that every train line can be used and even bus also can be used. Even shopping, you can use it to scan too !
We have loaded 5000 yen into the card and went into the Keio Line train
This was the first time I went into a Japan Train
and I saw all the Japanese people was so cool that they don't even look up to see the surroundings but keep playing with their phones.

Let me simplified the train station line:
Haneda Airport Keio Line > Shinagawan

Step out from the train at Shinagawan station and walk to the opposite to wait for the train from:
Shinagawan > Shinjuku

Our home stay was situated at Okubo area which is next to Shinjuku station,
It is super convenient as Shinjuku is the main station for transfering to many train lines.
The most important is the homestay situated 3 mins walking distance away from the Okubo Station, Super near right.

Our 5 nights stay cost : RM1700 including cleaning and service fees and booking through airbnb
Check here if you are interested:

The kitchen equipments are sufficient and the fridge is large enough.
There is steam facility in the bathroom
so we never feel cold at all when we taking out bath.

Trust me, you will never open the TV as you dont even understand what they are talking about.
Their air-conditioner do allowed to open to 28 celcius degree
and I can wear my short pant to sleep during the 5 nights for the whole trip. =D

Since we reached here was kinda late night,
so we walked in to nearby 24 hours restaurant to have a simple dinner
as I didnt take any meal since the 7 hours flight except 2 breads.
I was starving like hell and thank god the restaurant save my life.

This was the first time we use vending machine to order food
and you know their vending machine did provide English version for us
So glad that we ordered succesfully for the first time using vending machine. haha

Their food is super nice  !
Pure Tofu Soup

Kimchi Rice Set with Miso Soup

Our dinner cost 900 yen for 2 person
It is consider super cheap already compare to others restaurant
You will know more soon.

Thats all for the first day in Japan
and more posts to upload
Please stay tuned guys
